School Grants Program
The Highmark Foundation is pleased to announce important updates to the Highmark Foundation's School Grants Program for the 2026-2027 school year. We've updated the program to include a new limit on the number of applications per school district in the state of Pennsylvania and updated our funding categories to simplify the application process and increase overall impact.
What's New for 2026-2027
Our commitment to children's health remains strong
This program continues our dedication to improving children's health by empowering schools to foster healthy habits and supportive environments for students.
New, focused funding categories
We've refined our grant categories to better target crucial areas of student health.
- Health care access: This category supports initiatives related to access to care, fitness, nutrition, and social-emotional connection for students.
- Economic stability for students: This category focuses on providing essential basic needs for students.
Eligibility Requirements
Please note the following eligibility criteria.
Who can apply? Public, private, charter, parochial, intermediate units, or vocational high schools located in Pennsylvania or West Virginia.
Application limit: In Pennsylvania, there's a new limit of three applications per school district. Individual schools must coordinate with their district, intermediate unit, or diocese to ensure this limit is met.
The Highmark Foundation School Grants Program application is available only at https://highmarkfoundationrfp.versaic.com. The application will be open from Feb. 16 – March 31, 2026.
